Not a standard case? · ABN holders · business purposes only

A bit outside the box? Let's have a chat.

Lenders' online forms are built for the straightforward cases. If your business doesn't quite fit the mould, you don't have to guess. Send us an email, tell us what's going on, and we'll look at your situation and point you to the right partner or option.

Prefer to write your own? Email [email protected].

The sort of things we hear

  • "We've only had the ABN a few months."
  • "Trading's been patchy – we had a quiet year."
  • "We've got a tax debt and a payment plan with the ATO."
  • "Our income comes in big lumps or by the season."
  • "It's an unusual piece of kit – not a ute or an excavator."
  • "We got knocked back somewhere else and aren't sure why."
  • "It's a mix of personal and business stuff and we need to sort out which is which."

None of these is automatically a no, and none is automatically a yes. They just mean it's worth a conversation before you fill in forms.

What to put in your email

  • What you need – what the money's for (equipment, a vehicle, cash flow, a bigger job, refinancing something)
  • How much – a rough figure is fine
  • A quick background – what the business does, how long you've been trading, roughly what it turns over
  • What makes it tricky – the bit you think a lender might get stuck on
  • When you need it and the best way to get back to you

Please don't send bank statements, tax returns, ID or other documents by email. We'll let you know if anything's needed and where it should go.

What happens next

  1. A person reads it

Not a bot or an auto-scoring form. Someone from the Circlestone team reads your email.
  2. We reply, usually within 1 business day

We may ask a couple of questions to understand the situation better.
  3. We point you in a direction

We'll look at your situation and point you to the right partner or option, such as LoanOptions.ai for business, equipment and vehicle loans or FundTap for invoice finance. Sometimes the honest answer is "not yet", and we'll tell you that too.
  4. The partner or lender decides

Any application is assessed by the partner or lender under its own licence, criteria, fees and terms. You decide whether to go ahead.

Circlestone isn't a lender and doesn't give credit advice. We can't promise approval, a rate or an outcome, but we'll try to find a path. It's free to get in touch. If we refer you and the finance goes ahead, we may receive a referral fee from the partner – see How we get paid.

Business purposes only. Finance for personal, household or domestic purposes isn't offered through Circlestone.
